The concert in Novi Sad promises to be an unforgettable musical experience, as the Profundis Chamber Orchestra from Macedonia, led by the brilliant Đurđica Dašić, is joined by the internationally acclaimed violinist Irina Mureșanu (USA/Romania), marking her performance in Serbia.

  • Benjamin Britten – "Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge"

  • Antonio Vivaldi – "Spring" for solo violin and chamber orchestra

  • Astor Piazzolla – "Winter" for solo violin and chamber orchestra

  • Georges Enescu – "Romanian Rhapsody No. 1" for solo violin and chamber orchestra

The Romanian violinist Irina Mureșanu won the hearts of audiences and critics alike with her thrilling, elegant, and sincere performances across classical, romantic, and modern repertoires. The Boston Globe praised her as “not just a virtuoso, but an artist,” while the Los Angeles Times described her as possessing "musical brilliance, melting lyricism, and a colorful concept, making Irina Mureșanu’s performance particularly breathtaking." The magazine Strad called her recital at Carnegie/Weill Hall a “first-class recital.”

 

Her performances are often cited as some of the best classical music renditions by the Boston Globe, and her recital in the "Artists in Focus" series was named one of the Top 10 Musical Events by TAB Magazine.

 

Irina Mureșanu plays a violin valued at 450,000 euros and has been a laureate and winner of prestigious violin competitions, including the Montreal International, Washington International, Pro Musica International, and the Queen Elizabeth II Award.
